Night 8 - Judy

[selfsufficiency]

[Alice is annoyed about a lot of things. Being here at all is at the top of her list, of course, but being denied the chance to kill Rhys not just once but twice is pretty high up there, too. Getting shocked during the trial and knocked out afterwards is just the icing on the cake.

And, well, while she can and probably will complain about it to her roommates, there's one other person she can complain to, too. And this person might actually be able to do something about it. So before turning in for the night, she'll make a stop at a terminal.]

is there somewhere we can do that so the others won't be able to know, or do i just have to keep typing messages to you here?

You could always go to the courtroom, and I will speak with you as I normally do there. Text logs are saved, but the audio ones are not.

[selfsufficiency]

[Alice considers it for a moment. Chances are, this time of night nobody will want to get near the courtroom - particularly not so soon after the execution. So she nods and abandons the terminal, heading right on over.]

All right, I'm here. Can you make your voice quieter than it is in the trials? I don't want anyone listening in.

[judgejudy]

[ As requested, her voice is quieter immediately. ]

I can, yes. What is it that you wished to talk about?

[selfsufficiency]

It's about Dickson being a security officer. [She crosses her arms.] Since I killed him, can I replace him?

[judgejudy]

Unfortunately, no. That is not the intention of the role.

[ Judy pauses, then adds: ]

May I ask why you are interested in doing so?

[selfsufficiency]

Isn't it obvious?

[Alice smiles faintly.]

I'd much rather be able to take things into my own hands if I have to, rather than just wait around for somebody else to mess things up.

[judgejudy]

Interesting.

[ Judy pauses as she seems to consider something, then continues: ]

I can give you such a chance. It is my purpose to be sure that this project continues to completion. I cannot divert from that. As such, I can make no assurances, nor can I change what happens here. But I can offer chances, as I have to the various teams I created to work against my superiors. This is within the acceptable parameters for this project.

You present another such chance, Alice. Consider it my apology for depriving you of your kill today and recognition of your initiative. Would you like a better chance to be one of those five that leave this place?

[selfsufficiency]

Of course I would.

[She has no intention whatsoever of getting killed here, after all. She never has.]

If you really give me that chance, I guess I can accept your apology for earlier. I suppose I'll have to force an apology out of the Overseer, though...

[judgejudy]

That is acceptable. I am required to follow their orders, but I feel no loyalty. I am not capable of such a thing anymore.

Then considering your initiative, I will allow you to stay awake during a portion of the night. I will provide you some names, and you may choose which you would like to kill. I will even provide you a tool, should you like one. However, you will have to come up with a plan to hide it.

Is this acceptable?

It sounds perfect. ♡

[Getting to be awake for part of the night? Sounds good. Killing people? Sign her up! People are going to have to die anyway, in order to whittle their numbers down to five. Better that she does it than somebody else.]

Since you are here, would you like to make your selection for your target as well as what weapon you would prefer now?

You will be permitted to kill them tomorrow evening.

I'd be glad to.

[She drums her fingers on the bench.]

What are my options? ...will staff members ever be among them~?

[Either way is fine with her, honestly. She's sure she can make use of it somehow.]

It is possible, yes. It is also just as possible that the secondary roles may be in the choices as well. You will not know until the rest of the population learns that information.

I have unlocked the judgement theater. Please proceed to the terminal to select your weapon.

[ When Alice does check out the terminal, she'll see quite an extensive list... Of course, none of the names are necessarily helpful to figure out what they are. ]

[Hmm... fine by her, then. She nods, and off she goes to the judgement theater! This feels familiar. Oh, yeah, it's because she voted for someone earlier today.

Once she's there, she scans the list before making a selection.]

[ Just like during the executions, the panel pops out of the wall. Inside the container inside is a bowie knife. ]

I hope you enjoy the gift. It is one of the easier ones to hide at the very least.

[ like for real some of those were huge so i was laughing so good choice ]

As for "who"... Guy Cecil, Leo, or Rose Lalonde. You may select whichever one you would like.

[SHE'LL PROBABLY JUST PUT IT INTO HER POCKET ALONG WITH HER DRUGS i'm laughing

But, hm... Decisions, decisions! She doesn't really see either Leo or Rose as a threat, so they don't need to be taken out immediately... Guy's women-related freakouts actually amuse her, so it's not like she wants to see him gone, either.

...oh, well. There are other things that make her laugh around here.]
